How to brief a brand before you design

2026-08-30

The problem

Teams ask for a “premium logo” with no audience or offer. The kit looks expensive and says nothing.

Write constraints, not adjectives

List who you refuse to sound like, words you will not print, and the job the name must do (rememberable, bilingual, legal-to-check). Approve those as project memory. Then run Brand Builder. Adjectives like “bold” without a customer produce interchangeable drafts.

Name search is a human hour

After you have a short list, search trademarks and domains yourself. Vekra will not file a mark or promise uniqueness. Spending more credits will not make a colliding name legal.

Lock voice before pixels

A tone paragraph is cheaper to fix than a full visual system. Approve voice, then generate site and campaigns so they do not invent a second personality.
